Throughout Turtle Mountain School Division weather sources indicate a forecast of -45 degrees Celcius or colder for 6 a.m. Friday morning, February 8, 2019. As a result, all buses and classes will be cancelled. It is possible some scheduled extra-curricular/sports trips may continue and plan to leave later in the day when the windchill subsides, parents/students should check with the school or applicable staff to determine if trips will be occurring or not.
The temperature including the wind chill is forecast to be as low as -49 degrees Celsius throughout the night and into Wednesday morning. As a result, all buses and classes within Turtle Mountain School Division are cancelled for Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Exams which are scheduled to be written on Thursday, January 31 and Friday, February 1 will be written as scheduled. Exams which were scheduled to be written on Tuesday, January 29 and Wednesday, January 30 will be written on Tuesday, February 5 and Wednesday, February 6. Monday, February 4, 2019 remains an administration day, with no classes or buses in Minto, Boissevain, or Killarney.
